Let me introduce myself…

I am Alberto Quintana, a Spanish Air Traffic Controller, Engineer, and Certified Project Manager, with all ATC ratings and extensive international experience. Recognizing the transformative impact of technology on the aviation industry, I sought to upskill in AI, digitalization, augmented reality, and cloud computing. My expertise in creating effective product specifications positions me as an ideal bridge between operations and IT. I maintain my EASA license and, as STDI, I train controllers in both foundational and specialized courses.

What I have worked on

I’ve led and contributed to diverse projects across the aviation sector, including airport capacity studies for a major Indian airport, supervising the SAT for a cutting-edge tower simulator in the Middle East, and defining software specifications for Flight Information Displays deployed in 6 European towers. My experience spans contingency systems for enroute operations, environmental assessments on route adjustments, and tools for evaluating sector complexity. Additionally, I’ve worked on AI patents applied to ATC and supported numerous successful proposals for the European Union.
